Description

Don't Call Me Mum: Little Things That Make a Big Difference – Working with Parents/Caregivers (SEND)

3-hour CPD Certified Training by Born at the Right Time

In busy educational and support settings, meaningful engagement with families isn’t just helpful it’s at the heart of inclusive and empathic learning environments.

When time is short and demands are high, effective communication fosters trust, strengthens collaboration, and supports inclusion beyond the tagline of a website into the behaviours, policies and culture of an organisation.

Clear communication, fewer misunderstandings and collaborative working leads to more realistic expectations, less conflict and more economic service delivery. Above all it leads to better outcomes, not just for the children and families, but the hardworking and dedicated professionals.

This CPD-certified course is rooted in the lived experiences of families raising children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). It offers a powerful insight into how small shifts in language, approach, and mindset can transform relationships with parents and family caregivers. By listening to and learning from parent/carers, SEND professionals can create child-centred, inclusive and responsive services.
